On Thusday 23 August, we were extremely pleased to welcome back our 2017/2018 Year 11 students to Hull Trinity House Academy. It was a wonderful occasion where we were able to celebrate with our students who performed fantastically well in their examinations - possibly the most rigorous and challenging of the last 30 years in terms of the content of the courses studied.
85% of our students achieved grades 4 and above in both English and maths- one of the best performances of a school throughout the City and the East Riding.
56% of students achieved a grade 5 (strong pass) in both English and maths which will be well above the national average.
Over a quarter of all grades awarded were A* - A and 9-7 in the new specifications.
Performances in science and the other EBACC and foundation subjects were amongst the very best in the school’s illustrious history and clearly the most impressive since moving to our current site.
Our performances as an Academy in both progress and attainment measures, while currently provisional, are expected to be strong and we are confident that we will be classed as above average in the Government’s performance tables and significantly above average when compared to boys’ outcomes regionally and nationally.
I would like to congratulate our fantastic students, their parents and carers along with our hard working and talented staff on achieving such wonderful results.
We will update all parents, carers and other stakeholders of the Academy's performance when more information becomes available from the Department For Education.
On behalf of my colleagues at Hull Trinity House Academy, I would like to wish all of our outgoing Year 11 students the very best for the future and hope they have a smooth and successful transition as they take their next steps in education and training.
