Who are ION and what do they set out to achieve?
ION provides financial accounting software to educational organisations. We have taken the world’s best financial accounting software and optimised it for educational organisations. We hope to help schools and colleges transform their financial operations, securing efficiencies that enable their teams to deliver better educational outcomes through optimised use of funding.
What is the relationship between ION and Delta?
Delta Academies Trust were looking to move to a Cloud based solution that would provide the Trust with a comprehensive financial management solution that could automate the accounting processes, provide accurate reports, and integrate with their existing systems.
Why did ION choose to support Delta Academies Charitable Trust?
The aims of the charity align closely with our own values. As our business grew, we moved more and more towards education projects as it’s where our team found they had a passion, as they could use their skills to make a long-lasting difference. Supporting great causes such as this one is rewarding for all of us. Having worked with your teams, our team was keen to help in any way they can after hearing about this fantastic charity.
What is ION’s main achievements within the education sector?
We were awarded the ‘Rising Company’ award by the Multi Academy Trust Association (MATA) in recognition of our efforts and impact in the education sector, and in November 2023 we were announced as Sage Intacct’s Partner of the Year.
What does ION hope to achieve in the future?
The education sector has a united goal of improving futures, of people and of communities. We believe that to gain optimal impact from their funding, schools require streamlined and automated financial processes that enable finance teams to spend less time in manual administrative tasks and more time on projects that create real impact and provide return on investment for learners.
With this goal in mind, we have ambitions to use our knowledge and expertise to help streamline the financial operations of every multi academy trust in the UK, to become the education CFO’s choice. We want to do this while making a positive impact on the organisations we work with, and maintain long working relationships to continue their success long after the initial implementation is complete.
